North Bay Rose Society
We are a chapter of the American Rose Society. Our goal is to promote the culture, interest, and appreciation of the rose. Everyone, regardless of their expertise, is invited to join us.
We have monthly meetings on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:30pm at the Florence Douglas Senior Center (333 Amador Street, Vallejo, CA), except for the months of September and December. Everyone is welcome, and refreshments are provided.
At our meetings, we always have a Consulting Rosarian on duty to answer any rose related questions you may have. We also have an educational program each month, on many different aspects of rose growing and culture, and a "Mini Rose Show".
Our last rose show was held in early May; click here for Rose Show results.
We had a great time talking and sharing our roses with folks at the Napa Solano Home & Garden Show on May 16, 17 and 18, 2014.
On Sunday, May 4, 2014, we had our 34th Annual Rose Show, with the theme, 'The Cat in the Hat' at the Florence Douglas Senior Center in Vallejo. Click on 'Rose Show & Results' in the menu at the left to see which roses made the grade.
Our next meeting is Monday, July 14, 2014. NBRS President Charlie Malarkey will present information on chemical safety and pesticides. The presentation will be worth one consulting rosarian point.
