North Bay Rose Society and American Rose Society’s Northern California-Nevada-Hawai’i District Combined annual Rose Show.
Free Admission.

Public Exhibition 1:30- 4:30
An exciting array of fresh exhibition roses will be displayed alongside captivating photography and original artwork. Jewelry, native plants, art, and other vendors will offer a fun, garden themed bazaar. Food truck, Drinks truck, and horticulture experts from the Western United States will be on hand to offer advice and libations.

American Rose Society’s Northern California Nevada Hawaii district will hold its spring meeting - all district rose society members are welcome. two delegates from each society will vote on issues presented.

March Meeting
Our March Meeting will be an exciting hands-on workshop for all skill levels.
Vallejo Artist and North Bay Rose Society Member TJ Walkup will show that you can create a beautiful rose photo without any previous experience or art background. He will demystify the pillars of design- light, composition, and perspective. TJ will discuss using an array of hardware from smartphones to cutting edge optics used in professional settings.
American Rose Society Photography Judge, Marin Rose Society Member, and career educator Betty Mott will help you use the principles that TJ reviewed to have success in a judged show. With hands-on practice, she will guide you to recognize the keys to successfully compete with photography.

Community Pruning Grant Mahony Peace Rose Garden
Members of the community of all experience levels will help North Bay Rose Society Members prune the roses in Grant Mahony Park in Vallejo, CA to ensure vigorous new growth and huge colorful blooms in the spring.

Monthly Meeting
January meeting is Alfresco! Bundle up and review pruning in our beloved Grant Mahony Peace Garden. We will have a raffle, CR report, environmental report, and of course, amazing refreshments.

Come out and witness the honor of our very own Vice President Tanya Hall’s Coronation as the Mad Hatter Festival Queen of Vallejo Community at 2 pm Downtown on Georgia Street - cross street will be updated ASAP.
Come out to suport our fellow rosarian in her role as Queen of Vallejo Community. Festivities througout the day and into the eveing are organized.

Dr. Al Rwahnih, Director of Foundation Plant Services at the UC Davis, will speaking on plant viruses including rose viruses. This program is worth 1 credit for Consulting Rosarians.

Pruning Demonstration & Participation
Pruning demonstration of the roses at the Grant Mahony Rose Garden. Participation is encouraged! Bring your gloves and pruners. Refreshments provided to volunteers.
If it rains or we don’t complete the pruning we will return to the park on Wednesday, January 17th to finish.
